While yesterday was mountains and snow, today was expansive sky and earth. There was a section of our drive when looking toward the horizon I couldn’t tell if I was seeing sea or sky!
And windmills. Lots of windmills.
We’ve been talking about infectious disease (which accounts for 20-30% of deaths across the globe every year) and non-infectious, non-communicable causes of death (70-80%) with most of that being due to lifestyle.
The drugs that are coming into the marketplace through Emergency Use Authorization due to the current pandemic are predominantly immune system suppressants. These take out the “foot soldiers” of our immune systems.
The specific drugs I’m referring to are bamlanivimab (alone and with etesevimab), and the combination of casirivimab with imdevimab.
I know. It’s kinda like a foreign language. Bear with me for just a moment…
These agents are to be used in mild to moderate Covid infections in those at high risk of a negative outcome (re: death).
What’s “mild to moderate”? This would be similar to a bad cold or the flu—something that makes you feel like crud and keeps you home in bed.
Who is at high risk of dying from Covid? Those with comorbidities.
What’s a comorbidity? Underlying chronic disease.
What are the “worst” ones to have with Covid? High blood pressure, obesity, type 2 diabetes, cholesterol problems, and breathing problems like asthma, chronic bronchitis and emphysema (COPD, or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).
Oh, but these same drugs are not to be used in asthmatics that medicate daily or those with COPD because they can cause even MORE problems (re: death)!
Is this coming together for you?
Would Covid even be a “thing” if we were otherwise healthy people? Probably not. (There are SO many conversations that could take place right here…. But let me finish this thread.)
The BEST thing we can all do right now is to get ourselves as healthy as possible! There’s no need for experimental gene therapy injections and immune system suppression when the CAUSE of death with this particular infectious disease—like any other infectious disease—stems from poor health prior to exposure.
Have you looked at the actual death rate from Covid recently? It’s less than 2%. Those that are dying were sick to begin with, unfortunately.
Every untimely death is maddening. Whether from an accident, an infection, or a chronic disease.
What makes me so “mad” in this current environment are the bazillions of chronically ill people—because of their own choices, whether consciously made or not—being misled into believing that some force from the outside will save them from themselves.
The bottom line here is this: your health is YOUR responsibility. Your body is an amazing gift! When you put real food and clean water into yourself, you function better. When you move yourself in fun activities, you strengthen your muscles and bones and retain flexibility. When you’re involved in healthy relationships and purposeful work, your mind and emotions and spirit SOAR!

Please find yourself. Take care of yourself. Your body has been your longest lasting, most constant companion. It's the only one you get for this entire lifetime.
Wishing you expansive freedom through vibrant health,
