Musings while Moving

3/21/21 Some of you have asked what I’m doing these days. I am traveling across the country! Today was day 1 of our driving adventure moving from the west coast to the east coast. We plan to play a bit in various national parks—Arches in Utah tomorrow—and visit with friends along the way.

AND… I will be writing my second booklet, “Diseases of the Drugs: The High Blood Pressure Connection” very soon!

AND… there will be a new offering of the combination of a consult with me, an Individualized Eating Plan, and a self-guided 6-module Course in Reversing Type 2 Diabetes even sooner!

Yes!

I am crafting a plan on how to get the message “out there” that chronic lifestyle-driven disease is absolutely reversible. YOU know that, and I know that, but there are SO MANY OTHERS who don’t know!

“My people perish for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6)

I have that knowledge and want to share it with others around the world!

Did you know that 70-80% of what kills people around the globe is non-infectious? And that the vast majority of that percentage is chronic disease? And that the vast majority of that percentage is lifestyle-driven disease? That means that what kills people pre-maturely are typically their own choices.

Wow. Just…. Wow.

There’s a long list of WHY people make less-than-stellar choices about what they consume (food, drink, media), how (and how often) they move their bodies, quality of sleep, balance of work/play… Perhaps I’ll write about a few of these reasons over these next days.

For now, please be aware that infectious disease—

ALL of the bacterial, viral, fungal, prion and/or rickettsial illnesses you can think of, all lumped together…

Strep pneumonia,

MRSA,

tuberculosis,

influenza,

measles,

mumps,

rubella,

hepatitis,

polio,

H. pylori,

rotavirus,

adenovirus,

cholera,

Lyme,

Clostridium difficile,

SARS,

MERS,

SARS-CoV-2,

any other coronavirus,

Legionnaire’s,

gonorrhea,

chlamydia,

herpes,

HIV,

AIDS,

Zika,

norovirus,

mono,

HPV,

meningitis,

pneumococcus,

chickenpox,

syphilis,

whooping cough,

diphtheria,

tetanus,

anthrax,

botulism,

Yersinia pestis (“black plague”),

histoplasmosis,

aspergillosis,

toxoplasmosis,

Creutzfeldt-Jakob syndrome…

Anything that “causes” illness (I use quote marks here because many illnesses we experience stem from an overgrowth of our own flora—again, because we make choices that throw our systems out of balance)—

--ALL ADDED TOGETHER--

—accounts for 20-30% of all causes of mortality every year. Here in the United States, we’re closer to the 20% mark.

That means that roughly 80% of deaths are CAUSED by chronic (more than 3 weeks), lifestyle-driven (choices that can be changed!) disease.

We’re making ourselves sick.

Every premature death is maddening.

Wishing YOU vibrant health,

Christie Fleetwood, ND, RPh, VNMI
